Hi guys,
Here what I’ve to tell about my amazing trip from Bangalore to Hyderabad.
I always loved this road, it’s simple and beautiful. Actually, I had planned to
Have my trip during Christmas, but due to some uncertainty I couldn’t.
My bike and back pack was ready longtime back. Road map I had already
downloaded from Google. I had lot of study of the road,
road conditions, etc,
At last, I had decided to leave on 4th Jan 2012.
The D Day arrived…………………
I left my home, early morning at 5:30; I was very much excited as it was my first trip on
National Highway that to alone. I had fueled my bike a night before, so smoothly I passed
Mekhri circle & Hebbal flyover. Road was well known as, it was my regular college route.
The problem started near Yelahanka, as there are many deviations due to construction of
express flyover, it was dam difficult to manage those deviations, as it was dark and no
street lights. At 6:30 the sun began to spread its light and my bike roared and flew at the
speed of 95kmph, till that time it was hard to even touch 80kmph. Road was smooth and
weather was chilled, which gave me a thrill….. My excitement was boosted up.
EMERGENCY CALL BOOTH ON NH7
After completing 100kms, I parked my bike near a SOS PC (they are for emergency purpose,
they are available till 100-150kms from city, both Bangalore and Hyderabad). My bike
needed such breaks. Had breakfast which my mom had packed for me, then continued my ride.
The scenery was beautiful. The next stop was near ravanpalli, it was beautiful place with
Good people. I had tea there rested for half an hour and then continued my ride.
STOP AT RAVANA PALLI.
After my second Stop, I increased my speed to 105kmph. The ride became more enjoyable,
the road just passing away, Overtaking trucks, buses & tractors it was a lot fun. Toll booths were
there, but it didn't matter a lot as there was free way for bikers.
At some beautiful places, I stopped my bike to take Snaps of that locality.
I found A1 restaurant on my left to be closed, but to my luck I found the other A1
restaurant on the right hand side to be open, it was somewhere near Gooty it’s quite far from the
1st one, but I managed to reach there by 10:30 a.m. I got freshen up at that place & moved on.
My next stop was near Kurnool, 190km away from Hyderabad. My bike had cum to reserve,
so I decided To stop and rest for a while at the petrol station and then fuel my bike. After that stop I reduced my speed to 70kmph, which also reduced my spirit and made ride boring.
I stopped my bike at a bus shelter which looked like a resting place especially for travelers like me.
Then continued my ride @ 100kmph and reached Hyderabad till 2p.m.
WAITING TO FILL PETROL NEAR KARNOOL.
TOTALLY TIERD, 100 KM HYDERABAD.
ALMOST THERE!!!!!!!
RETURNING JOURNEY (END OF THE EXCITING TRIP).
I left my room around 6:00 A.M, filled my beast’s tank with fuel and started my journey. There was heavy traffic jam in that area at 6:30 a.m (unbelievable ri8?), it was due to the area being a transport hub of Hyderabad, just like khalasi palya of Bangalore. I went along the exp flyover to reach highway, reached highway at 7:30 a.m. . . . This time there was not much excitement present, but happy I was half way of successfully completing my trip. My first stop was at hotel at jedhchela, had a nice breakfast and osim tea. After jedhchela, I began searching 4 places to fill air pressure in bike’s tire, but I must say it is one of the toughest job to do on highway as petrol station doesn’t have the facility of filling tire pressure. It was near Kurnool I got to fill it. After that, I began flying my beast @ 100kmph and it was gr8 fun. Later stopped at few places in between but nothing much to tell about. At 12: 20 I again reached A1 restaurant, this time I spent longer time at this place, had lunch observed the beauty around and the continued my journey. After this it was not so continuous journey, but the experience was good I had bought berries near one of the toll gate. At 2 P.M I stopped at another favorite spot raavana pali, there I had the osim tea, biscuits which I had purchased, had nice chat with people around. At last end of my trip, reached Bangalore at 5:30 P.M…, this was a long journey due to excitement….
Off to home….
Breakfast at jedhchela.
A1 restaurant.
Mini s super market at Raavana Pali.
I have travelled to many more states after this, to follow my adventure

Hi Abdul,
ReplyDeleteFirts of all Congrats on your successful trip !
I am Bobby, also planning to do the same. ( a trip to hyd my home town from bengaluru ). Just need some info... I think your bike is registered in Banglore. Did you face any problem with trafic / Police in between trips ?
Not at all Mr. Boby, I had a hassel free ride. Not a single person stoped me, even @ toll gate i had easy pass through.(as bikes need not pay any toll fee).
DeleteThats cool. Thanks Abdul for the information.
ReplyDeleteThis is my blog, not ad space for any travel agency. So please stop posting ur stupid ads on this page.
ReplyDeletehello abdul,
ReplyDeletei m shiva, planning a trip from bangalore to hyd. can u update weather bikes are allowed on NH7 & AH43. or can u suggest me any alternate route.
Hi Shiva.
ReplyDeleteBikes are allowed on Nh7, There are no restrictions. For smooth and hassle free trip, I suggest you travel during day time. It has two benefits.
1. There will not much of Heavy Vehicle traffic.
2. You can make your trip more enjoyable, by beautiful places around, which you will missing at night times.
"Wish U a Happy & Fun Filled Journey "....
Hey Abdul,
ReplyDeleteIm planning the same this weekend. Can u pls clarify the below points:
* What was d mileage of ur bike & Petrol consumed.
* Which are the ideal stop overs for breakfast / Lunch / Tea (considering if i start early mrng 6AM frm Hyd)
* Any precautions as such?
Any help on this information is greatly appreciated...
Kash:)
Hi,
DeleteFirst of all "Wish U Happy Journey" in advance. Now your doubts.
1st. My mileage in hunk was 35/40km @ the speed of
90 to 105 km/hr.
2nd. For breakfast you can stop at Jedcherla, there you
will find hotel Mansoor(or Munawar), There you can
have delicious breakfast, for lunch as mentioned
in my blog, you can have it in A1 plaza hotel and
tea you can get at many places.
Precautions:
1. Check your tyre pressure before leaving as many fuel
stations don't have air facility.
2. If your ridding an "Air Cooled" engine bike then, It's
recommended to have 10-15 mins break after every
100km( if ridding @speed of 80-100).
3. Have some biscuits, water with you. This will help you
re charge when you don't find any tea stall or hotel.
And simple formula for Safe journey is...
Respect heavy vehicles. "Don't Mess with Them"
1. Use High beam when overtaking them heavy vehicles
or Use dipper at right time.
2. Pay attention on the road.
That's all for now..
"I hope my information makes your trip more enjoyable"
Hey Abdul, Thanks for ur detailed information, sure this wil be usefull. Lol, i liked the way u put tht in- Respect heavy vehicles :P
ReplyDeleteThanks again & wil let u knw hw it went on aftr cmng bck...
Cheeers:)
Kash:)

All the buss drivers will assume themselves as Michael schumacher and drive their buses..

ReplyDeleteHI,
ReplyDeleteIm in dilama wethyer to transport bike through train or ride by myslef!!! can anyone share your view pls...
Hi, Sudeep.
DeleteTransport the bike or ridding your bike. Its' all your choice.
To be frank, ridding 550 Km(if you are going from Bangalore). Takes a bit of physical preparation, before you go for the trip.
so choice is all your's.

ReplyDeleteHi,
DeleteFirst of all sorry for the late reply. I don't know if you have already left or not.
Doing Hyderabad ride in Moped is tough task, however I will not say it is impossible. It takes sheer biking spirit to travel 550KM in Avaitor.
The best time for your ride will be morning. That is leaving at 5:30 am.
Night ride is suitable for this route, as there are more that 100 private buses plying on this root and all drives consider them to be racing champions.
Sory guys i lost my messege
ReplyDeleteThanks Heaps. :)
ReplyDeleteGuy's it might take sometime for me to reply to your messages. So please don't mind if the reply is delayed.
ReplyDeleteI would be good,if you could message me a day or two prior so that we can have a good discussion and help you better.
I will be taking this route again next month for my another ride and will update this blog with latest updates on the road.
Till then take care, ride safe. :)
Hi Abdul. I m planning to start my journey tomorrow morning at 6 am from herbal. But I m worried cause it is a activa. Not a bike . Hope everything will be fine. Thanks for your suggestions

ReplyDeleteAll the best Juned.. Have a safe journey.
DeleteAs you are going on scooter, I would request you have patience.
Take break of 10 to 15 minutes after ever 80 -90km.
I think it will be okay for you to reach Hyderabad by evening.
Be calm & Enjoy your ride.
Hey Abdul,
ReplyDeleteKudos for being active on the blog :)
I am planning to run away to BLR from HYD in few days. First Ride, Solo Ride !!
Excited to see HUNK (same as mine).
Is it an Air-cooled engine? Mine is 2016 model.
Any added precautionary to be carried like Knee/Elbow pads, etc?
More likely chances of BLR police stopping AP/TS vehicles in city right?
Is there a rule like, 2-3 days of stay at different state is permissible?
Appreciate your suggestions for the trip in view of bike and safety !
Thanks !
Hi Vikas,
DeleteThank you for liking my blog.
It feels good, when someone gets little from my blog in planning their ride.
Yes currently, I'm ridding 2009 air cooled model, your 2016 would be amazing in performance, I guess.
Safety gears, I would say it would be wise to buy it before thinking about long trip. As safety comes first. If your budget is low, then you can go for fox elbow & knee guard.Otherwise look for spartan's jacket.
As far as permit is concerned. Recently, I rode across 5 different states and I was not stopped by any police officers. So don't worry about it.
Wish you all the best for your ride, ride safe. Hope you enjoy your trip to Namma Bengaluru.
As I mentioned in my earlier comment, that recently I have done a 5,000 KM and a 5 states ride. So here it is, I hope this will also be helpful for fellow riders.
ReplyDeletePlease share your inputs on this.

Hey does it make sense to travel on 110 CC bike ?
ReplyDeleteMine is Honda Twister
Hi Amar,
DeleteIt does not matter which bike you ride. It is always the biker and biking spirit in him/her, which makes the ride happen.
Just check if your bike is in good condition and you are ready for it. If yes then go ahead.
Just try to avoid night ridding.
All the best.

DeleteHi Sravan.
DeleteAll the best for your ride. Just ensure you have your rain gear s with and also the baggage you are carrying is waterproof (as its rainy season) All don't forget to keep your basic bike accessories like clutch and accelerator cable, tube, etc,...
Sravan
ReplyDeleteHey,I know a delayed post, but I'll be covering it on an Activa. Tell me as how safe it is and any specific problems that I might face. Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteHello Saloni..
DeleteI appreciate your ridding spirit..
All the best for your ride...
Few suggestions for the ride...
1. Make sure it is day ride.
2. Ride at 80/90Kmph
3. Carry enough food supplements as there are few restaurants.
4. Please ensure you have basic protection (gears).
Hope this will help you...
I would request all those who are planning for a long ride, please buy a basic ridding gear first... Example fox ridding gears. It is not expensive, however keeps you safe...
ReplyDeleteOnce you are frequent rider, then you can upgrade accordingly...
Also please wear helmet.
Ride long, Ride safe....
Hey Abdul
ReplyDeleteI am planning for a trip from Bangalore to Hyderabad on Royal Enfield classic 350 . What will be the best time to leave . and what all things to keep in mind . And all gear help . Thanks in advance .
Hello...
DeleteYou are taking the best bike...So your ride will be comfortable.
1. The best time would be anytime between 3 am to 5 pm.
2. As you are ridding an RE keep extra clutch and accelator cable.
3. Keep enough food supplements as there are very less dhabas, also add Gatorade to your list.
Now lets talk about gears....
If you are serious about bike touring and willing to do more rides ahead...
Then I would suggest you to look out for biking gears from Spartan, Rynox, mototech...
The shops you can look out for is
1. Orion motors, Koramangala.
2. Biking spirit, Saint marks road.
3. Motorcafe and stores, Ulsoor.
If you need any more help you can reply me back on this...
All the best for your ride...
Ride safe..
Is this road safe for a solo woman rider? On avenger 220
ReplyDeleteI rode upto bagepalli toll plaza yesterday and drove back to blore just to test ,
DeleteThat route is good, there is no danger if you ride between 6am to 6pm. Just that, I would suggest you to wear proper gears and carry sufficient food supplements. As there are very few restaurants...
DeleteAlso you have the perfect bike for this route...
DeleteHi Abdul
ReplyDeleteI'm Sagar, I'm planning to go Hyderabad from Bangalore on my hero xtreme 2013 model. This is my first solo long ride on my bike as I traveled max 300km in a Day so my question is about safety.. can I change engine oil, disc brake Oil ? Can leather jacket is ok for long drive other than bike jacket ?
Hello Bhushan.
DeleteIf your bike has not been serviced from a very long time then, you can go ahead and change the engine and brake oil.
As far as jacket is concerned, Leather jacket is just a stylish wear.
For any fresh rider, I would suggest fox Armour jacket. This is affordable and also gives decent protection. You can upgrade your gears, as you take your biking passion ahead.
Please find the link to the jacket Below.

Thank you so much. ;) I'm new to solo long drive... Ur words boost my energy level.
DeleteMy pleasure!
DeleteHi, I am planning to take a trip to Bangalore from Hyderabad in my R15 Version 2 bike.
ReplyDeleteI would like to know the following :
1) While going from Hyderabad to Bangalore, what is the route that i should take?
2) What is the safest speed for me to ride my bike in the highway
3)Do i need to get any additional clutch wires or anything if i get my bike serviced the day before the trip.
Any additional comments if you have, any tips please feel free to share. This is my first long trip and i need all the guidance i can get.
My name is Kaustav
DeleteHello Kaustav.
Delete1) There is only one route from Shamshabad to Bangalore..
2) Cruising speed can be 90 to 110(depending on your comfort level).
3) Suggest you to get bike services a couple of days before.. so that you can make changes if any glitches. Once your bike is services well you need not carry anything.
"Carry spares only if you know how to fix it."

ReplyDeleteHi Abdul, thanks much for all your info. I am planning for a bike trip for the same route on friday. Just wanted to know about the expressway in hyderabad that connects mehdipatnam, so is this flyover is only for 4 wheeler?? Or 2 wheeler is also allowed there.
ReplyDeleteI just know that in Outer ring road, 2 wheeler is not allowed. Not sure about that expessway that connects Mehdipatnam
Hey.
ReplyDeleteThe blog is so informative. I am planning to undertake the Hyd to blr ride and back, this Sunday, Sept 23rd.. Return on Thursday.
My first really long solo ride and I am so nervous but so looking forward to it :)
A lot of the Info shared here is very good.... Thanks!
Hey..... Just read your blog and it's amazing. I'm glad you got to have this roadtrip and I hope and pray you have many more. You've totally inspired me with your journey and through your inspiration I've decided to make a roadtrip myself there. Usually I thought a 2 wheeler ride would be a complete pain in the arse considering the distance and safety on highways but looking at your blog made it feel a lot more relieving. I have a certain questions that I'd like to ask before venturing out of the city. Basically I'm from Bangalore and I have a honda dio 2019 model with forced air cooled engine. I wanted to know if my vehicle can survive the trip. Also... What was your expenditure throughout your entire journey for petrol and toll? How long is the journey approximately with a two wheeler at a speed you travelled the same with? Do I need documents although I have a copy of each in my vehicle? Do I require NOC or anything else because I'll be staying in Hyderabad for a week or so? What are the dog's and don'ts for this trip? Sorry if these questions are a lot but I really hope you can share some of your experience with me.
ReplyDeletedo's***
DeleteI'm really sorry for such a late reply, didn't receive notification. However, I will give answer to your questions, hope it helps.
Delete1.Your vehicle can survive, however it depends on your skills and patience. As you will need to stop every 80Km for 10-15 minutes.
2. Expenditure will vary as, I did this ride in 2012 and now all the prices have sky rocketed.
3. You don't need to pay toll as bikes don't have to.
4. Carry all original documents of your bike and as per current times e-pass (check latest news)
5. Do's and Don'ts, keep calm throughout the ride maintain minimum speed and last but not the least, don't mess with Hyderabadi's 😁😁
Thank you!
